Tip: The whole Rib Roast has a thick side and a thinner side. Your weight per bone will depend on what side yours gets cut from. Many folks order a “3 or 4 bone” Standing Rib Roast. Weight per bone will average between 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 lbs. Per bone.

NOTE: Please be advised that the weight you select will be approximate and the actual cost will be adjusted after we process your Standing Rib Roast. The weight may vary +/- up to 1/2 – 2 lbs. This is because a Standing Rib Roast is a Bone-In product and we do not cut in the middle of a rib bone. Price per / Lb. is $12.99 We will do our very best t0 get as close to your requested weight as possible.

Standard Packaging

Unless otherwise specified in The Details tab, standard packaging is as follows:

  • Ground products are portioned in 1 lb. packages.
  • Stew meats are portioned in 2 lb. packages.
  • Sausage Links and Franks are portioned in 1 lb. packages,
  • Roasts are portioned in aprox. 3 lb. packages.
  • Steaks and Chops are packaged (2) cuts per / package.
  • Your items will be wrapped in quality white butcher paper.
  • Flash froze for your convenience and to preserve flavor.

If you need some or all of your items left unfrozen and you are going to pick it up here at the market, please include a note on the Checkout page.

If you have a custom packaging request, please send us instructions from the Checkout page. While our static Meat Packages are priced to include standard packaging, we will do our best to accommodate per your request, or we will call you to discuss.

The total product weights listed in The Details tab reflects the total product weight we will provide you. Individual item portioned weights are approximate. Example: Your package may include 10 lbs of Ground Chuck to be portioned in 1 lb. (16 oz.) packages. Each individual package may be just a bit over or under 1 lb., yet the combination of your 10 packages will be at least 10 lbs.

Swinging Sides – Custom Processing

Beef, Hog, Lamb, and Goat can be purchased as whole, side, or quarter. Each item is unique and specific to the whole, side or quarter listed. and priced by the ‘Hanging Weight’ which is the total weight of the item ‘hanging’ in our cooler. Items in the Swinging Sides category are updated regularly as items are purchased here online, in store, or when we process for our retail meat case or package orders. Actual ‘Take Home Weight’ will vary depending on your specific processing instructions. Example: A naturally raised beef side will typically yield a take home weight of between 50% – 60% of the hanging weight, depending on how you would like it processed. After you’ve completed your purchase, we will contact you to discuss your specific processing requirements. If you are new to this, we will consult with you and discuss options and choices; You are even welcome to set an appointment to see your Swingin’ product in person and discuss processing options here at the market. If you have never done that before, it is quite a fun learning experience.
