As most of you already know we suffered a fire a week ago today. There are no words that can describe how it felt, standing beside my husband and son, watching the business my father-in-law started 46 years ago, and has dedicated his entire life to, burn. We were lucky. Because of the hard work and dedication of many firefighters, our building is still standing. After containing the fire to only part of our building, these men stood, wet, in 10 degree weather for most of the day to make sure the fire was out and didn’t reignite. The Desoto Fire Dept. received the call at 2:04am. They were in our parking lot at 2:09am. 5 minutes to dress, load up and get to the market. How awesome is that! So please..if you see them out in their truck driving thru town, give them a wave or tap on your horn. We are so very lucky to have them.
I also wanted to thank all the friends, local business owners, and customers that have contacted us. You phone calls, texts,fb messages, and offers to help have been overwhelming. We do have our USDA and custom slaughterhouse and processing back up and running. Hopefully we will have our retail front back up soon. Keep checking our website and facebook page for updates. Feel free to call us with any questions.
We are so blessed to have you all standing with us and we appreciate all the prayers sent our way.
